According to operatives of the Migration Police Department in Lviv region together with operatives of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, officers of the Lviv Region Police Investigation Department, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee prepared documents they do not have such a right.
The malefactor, a 38-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, was detained by police in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He estimated his “services” at 4,000 euros per person.
With these funds, he set out to make a set of fictitious documents for “customers” – men of conscription age who intended to evade mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who allegedly give them the right to freely cross the state border of Ukraine, as well as help them leave for the neighboring country. . In his “activity” the man actively used social networks.
Investigators informed the detainee about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is underway, and the court will soon choose a measure of restraint for the perpetrator.
