Traditionally, there is an increase in the flow of people and transport on the Ukrainian-Polish border during weekends. At the same time, the number of people willing to cross the border illegally is also increasing.
Over the previous two days, border control inspectors stopped eleven attempts to illegally cross the border using documents with signs of forgery. The bearers of false documents were exposed at the checkpoints “Grushiv”, “Krakivets”, “Rava-Ruska”, “Sheghini” and on trains going abroad. All the detainees turned out to be men of military age.
Nine men from Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions submitted temporary conscript certificates and military medical commission certificates for verification. During the inspection of military registration documents, the border guards discovered a number of signs indicating their forgery.
Another resident of Kropyvnytskyi presented a passport with a fictitious mark for permanent residence in Germany. Also, during the control, the border guards discovered booking orders and business trip orders from a resident of Dnipro, which contain signs of forgeries.
According to all the facts, the border guards informed the employees of the National Police. For the use of fakes, men face liability under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
