In the Lviv region, police are investigating a case of animal cruelty where a man forcibly poured vodka into the mouths of dogs.
On January 15, during social media monitoring, police discovered a video showing a man pouring alcohol into the mouths of dogs. **The event took place in one of the villages of Sambir district**. Operatives identified the perpetrator as a 57-year-old resident of the village.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty under this article includes imprisonment for a term from one to three years or deprivation of liberty for a term from two to three years with confiscation of the animal.
The dogs have been handed over to animal protection activists, where they are safe and under supervision. They will receive the necessary medical assistance.
