In Lviv Region, Skoda Injured an 11-Year-Old Pedestrian

In Lviv region, an 11-year-old pedestrian was injured as a result of a Skoda vehicle collision.

The traffic accident occurred on October 20 around 15:20 on Doroshenko street in the city of Boryslav, Drohobych district. As preliminarily determined by law enforcement, the driver of the Skoda Octavia, a 58-year-old local resident, struck an 11-year-old boy, also a resident of Boryslav. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Investigators from the Drohobych district police department have opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286 “Violation of Road Safety Rules” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article is imprisonment for up to three years, with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.

Police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
