The police of the Lviv region urges drivers of all vehicles, including two-wheelers, to strictly follow the requirements of the Traffic Rules, be attentive, do not exceed the speed limit, maneuver carefully and constantly monitor the road conditions. On April 9, the police received a report that a traffic accident occurred at night in the village of Zadebri, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Mustang” motorcycle, a 34-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, lost control and drove off the roadway, after which the two-wheeler overturned. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver and his passenger, a 33-year-old resident of the Yavoriv district, were injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
Another traffic accident occurred on April 9 at 10:20 p.m. on Ivan Mazepa Street in the town of Glynany, Lviv District. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Mustang” motorcycle, a 19-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, lost control and fell. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was injured and taken to a medical facility.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the event, the question of its legal qualification is being resolved.
