A 22-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district fraudulently took possession of the victim’s mobile phone, after which he sold it.
According to the law enforcement officers, the intruder found an advertisement for the sale of a mobile phone on the Internet and agreed with the seller, a 16-year-old resident of the city of Khmelnytskyi, to exchange phones. However, after receiving the gadget, he illegally took possession of it and then sold it.
Investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office, informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of freedom for a period of up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictment has been referred to the court.
