The former director of a state forestry enterprise in the Lviv region is accused of abuse of power and organizing illegal logging.
The prosecution accuses him of **abuse of power** and illegal tree cutting, which had severe consequences. Prosecutors are actively responding to violations in the field of forestry management, where cases of illegal logging are recorded under the guise of restructuring measures. According to the investigation, the director unjustifiably issued logging tickets in 2021-2022.
This facilitated the organization of illegal logging in diverse age plantations, contrary to the requirements of the law. As a result of these actions, over 4,000 trees were destroyed on an area of more than 96 hectares. The amount of damage is over 18 million UAH.
