
A criminal accused of murdering a pensioner will be tried in the Lviv region. The resident of a neighboring village, who beat an acquaintance to death, faces a penalty of up to fifteen years of imprisonment for the crime committed.
As previously reported, the incident took place on July 24 in one of the villages in the Lviv district. The pre-trial investigation, initiated under Part 1 of Article 115 (‘Premeditated Murder’) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed. The indictment has been sent to court for consideration.
The article’s sanction provides for punishment – imprisonment for a term ranging from seven to fifteen years. The perpetrator was exposed by investigators and officers of the police department No. 3 of the Lviv district police department No. 2, along with forensic specialists from the Lviv police.
