In Lviv Region, Woman to Stand Trial for Murder of Acquaintance

In the Lviv region, a woman will stand trial accused of murdering an acquaintance.

It has been established that on March 31, at around 21:00, a 31-year-old resident of the city of Mykolaiv in the Stryi district, during a domestic conflict, stabbed a 30-year-old local resident in the chest, with whom she was consuming alcohol. The man died from the injuries sustained.

Detectives from the criminal police, together with investigators, criminologists, and other officers from the Stryi District Police Station No. 2, were involved in uncovering the crime and detaining the perpetrator.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, conducted under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office under Part 1 of Article 115 (“Premeditated Murder of Two or More Persons”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed. The indictment has been sent for court consideration.

The maximum penalty facing the accused is imprisonment for up to fifteen years.
