In Lviv Region, a Man to Stand Trial for Amphetamine Distribution

A 41-year-old resident of Drohobych will stand trial in the Lviv region for amphetamine distribution.

It has been established that the man purchased the psychotropic substance in large quantities and sold it in small batches to drug-dependent residents of the city by “hand-to-hand” transactions. For these actions, he faces a sentence of up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.

The perpetrator was uncovered by criminal police operatives in cooperation with investigators and other officers from the Drohobych district police department, under the procedural guidance of the Drohobych district prosecutor’s office.

Law enforcement officers documented several episodes of illegal activity by the subject and discovered cannabis, buprenorphine, and methadone narcotics, as well as the psychotropic substance amphetamine, during a sanctioned search of his residence.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings has been completed. The indictment has been sent to the court for consideration. The maximum penalty facing the accused is up to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
