In Lviv Oblast, the criminal accused of a robbery attack on a 93-year-old grandmother will be tried

The perpetrator – a 52-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Drohobytsky district, broke into the victim’s apartment, beat her and took the money. For what he committed, he faces a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years with confiscation of property.

According to the law enforcement officers, on February 23, around 9:30 p.m., an intruder broke into the apartment of a 93-year-old resident of the city of Boryslav, hit her on the head, took 15,000 hryvnias in cash, and then fled. During the attack, the hostess fell to the floor and broke the neck of the femur.

Detectives of the criminal police, investigators and employees of other services of the Drohobytsk District Police Department were involved in the identification and search of the attacker. The law enforcement officers conducted a complex of measures, promptly established that a 52-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district was involved in the crime and detained him. Now, according to the court’s decision, he is in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 4 of Article 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed, the indictment has been sent to the court for consideration.

The maximum penalty that threatens the accused is imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years with confiscation of property.
