In the Sheptytskyi district, on the road between the villages of Vuzlove and Pavliv, a road traffic collision occurred in which a motorcyclist and his passenger were injured. The police reported the incident.
The crash happened on 29 June at around one o’clock in the morning. According to preliminary police findings, a 22-year-old local resident lost control of a Spark motorcycle, left the carriageway and overturned.
As a result of the collision, the rider and his 15-year-old passenger, who is also a local resident, sustained bodily injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty, with disqualification from driving vehicles for the same period.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
