The Prosecutor’s Office of the Lviv Region has completed the review of criminal case materials regarding traffic accidents with casualties that have been ongoing for years.
“Specifically, these involve three road traffic incidents,” the report states. December 2021: A driver of a “Mercedes-Benz” drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a “Volkswagen Jetta,” whose passenger sustained serious bodily injuries. July 2016: The driver of a “Lada” did not reduce speed near a stop and ran over a woman who died on the scene. February 2020: A Lviv resident, driving a “Zhiguli,” exceeded the speed limit and hit a pedestrian who died before the medics arrived.
“In all cases, the actions of the drivers are qualified under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the prosecutor’s office reports.
