
In Lviv region, a channel has been exposed through which men were illegally trafficked to Poland on passenger trains.
Two residents of Vinnytsia region, aged 60 and 64, were finding ‘clients’ through personal connections. They offered to illegally cross the border by hiding in compartments of passenger trains between Ukraine and Poland.
The perpetrators instructed the conscripts on disguise and passing border control. They charged 11,000 dollars per person for their services. Payment was accepted both in cash and via bank cards.
During the inspection of one of the trains, law enforcement discovered a man hidden in a blanket storage compartment. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against him.
Both organizers have been detained and charged under part 3 of article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, preventive measures have been chosen. The procedural guidance is carried out by the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense in the Western region.
