The traffic accident happened on April 10 at 8:40 p.m. on the “Nyzhankovichi-Stry” highway in the village of Nove Selo, Drogobytsky district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 27-year-old resident of Strya and a Daimler Benz driven by an 18-year-old resident of Drohobych.
As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the Daimler Benz were injured and taken to medical facilities: a 25-year-old woman and an 18-year-old boy, both residents of Drohobych.
According to the fact, investigators of the Drohobytsk District Police Department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
