The traffic accident occurred on March 26, around 11:00 a.m., on the Lviv-Krakowets highway in the village of Krakovets, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, a collision took place between the Seat Alhambra, driven by a 67-year-old man from Lviv, and the Volkswagen Sharan, driven by a 22-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Yavoriv district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volkswagen Sharan was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
