A road accident in the Lviv region has resulted in the death of an underage motorcycle driver.
The accident occurred on November 2nd around 4:30 PM in the village of Zhuravno in the Stryi district. Preliminary data suggests that a collision happened between a Honda motorcycle, operated by a 17-year-old resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 48-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk.
As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver died on the spot, and his 16-year-old passenger sustained injuries and was hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
“Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident,” reported the Stryi district police department.
