The traffic accident occurred on April 21, around 8:30 a.m., at the crossing of the Dobrosyn-Rava-Ruska track section in the village of Panchyshyn, Lviv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 27-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district and a diesel train driven by a 37-year-old driver from the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
