In Lviv region, driver with altered number plate fined

In the Lviv region, patrol police officers brought the driver of an Audi SQ8 to administrative liability for deliberately altering a character on the vehicle’s registration plate. This was reported by the Patrol Police of the Lviv Region.

Law enforcement officers noted that a concerned citizen published photos and video of the offence on social media. The shared materials showed that the letter «C» on the vehicle’s plates had been altered.

After reviewing the information, the police traced and stopped the vehicle. The driver was a 35-year-old man, who rectified the violation on the spot.

Administrative materials were issued against the man under Part 1 of Article 121-3 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (violation of the rules for the use of a vehicle’s registration plates). The sanction under this article provides for a fine of 1,190 hryvnias. The Patrol Police of the Lviv Region noted that the incident was dealt with in accordance with current legislation.
