In Lviv region, a group of individuals will stand trial for illegal cannabis cultivation and distribution.
It has been established that members of the criminal group engaged in illegal sowing and cultivation of cannabis in the Zolochiv district. The areas were cleared of trees, and plants were planted in specially prepared containers. The plantations were monitored using video surveillance.
The perpetrators had clearly defined roles and used various facilities for storing and manufacturing drugs. The organizer of the group and three accomplices were exposed by cybercrime operatives and Lviv region police investigators.
During the searches, 55 cannabis bushes, cannabis, equipment for cultivation and packaging, electronic scales, and other evidence were seized. The total value of the seized drugs amounts to approximately 3.5 million hryvnias.
The accused face up to twelve years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
