In Lviv region, a serviceman exposed for demanding money for a crushed stone supply contract

In Lviv region, law enforcement officers exposed a serviceman who, according to the investigation, is suspected of demanding 30,000 hryvnias from an entrepreneur for concluding a contract for the supply of crushed stone.

Investigators established that a 44-year-old official of the balneological resort of one of the military units in the region, responsible for organising the acceptance of goods and interaction with suppliers, decided to use his official position for personal enrichment.

According to the investigation, in April 2026 the staff sergeant contacted an entrepreneur who supplies construction materials and was taking part in a tender. After the previous winner refused to sign the agreement, the right to conclude the contract passed to this entrepreneur.

The official, according to the investigation, offered, for 30,000 hryvnias, to speed up the signing of a contract for the supply of 380 tonnes of granite crushed stone with a total value of more than 433,000 hryvnias. In addition, he promised unimpeded acceptance of the goods and timely payment for the delivered products.
