Operatives of the Lviv border detachment, together with law enforcement officers, exposed a resident of Lviv region who helped men of conscription age to leave Ukraine illegally.
The services of the “businessman” were used by Ukrainians of draft age and those subject to general mobilization.
The law enforcement officers established that the 44-year-old Ukrainian promised his “clients” to employ them at one of the enterprises. In the future, for the purpose of leaving the territory of Ukraine, a package of documents for a foreign business trip was prepared for men. For this “service”, the attacker received $6,500 from one person. The organizer of the illegal scheme was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Code of Civil Procedure after receiving part of the cash tranche.
In the course of authorized searches at the residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized a mobile phone, company seals, a flash drive and a storage device.
The investigators informed the accused about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the detainee.
Actions to stop illegal activities were carried out by border guards of the operative investigative unit of the Lviv border detachment, employees of the Migration Police Department and investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Western region.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
