In Lviv region during the past 24 hours rescuers extinguished 17 fires, including 8 outbreaks in ecosystems. While tackling the blaze, firefighters saved 9 buildings and one car from destruction.
At the same time, one of the fires had tragic consequences: in Stryi district a man was killed. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified by the relevant services.
Rescuers stress that every fire has its cause, but a significant number of them can be prevented. Observing fire safety rules is not a formality, but a responsibility for one's own life, the health of loved ones and the preservation of property.
Specialists urge residents of the region not to ignore basic safety rules and to be careful when dealing with fire, especially in natural ecosystems.
