In Lviv region over the past day, rescuers extinguished 18 fires, including 12 blazes in ecosystems. During the call-outs, firefighters rescued 2 people and prevented a trailer and a gazebo from being destroyed by fire.
The State Emergency Service emphasises that each of these fires could have been avoided, as they are most often caused by minor carelessness that could have been prevented.
Rescuers urge that in the event of a fire, people should immediately call 101, as every second counts, and ask residents of the region to take care of themselves and their loved ones.
