Over the 24-hour period from 19 to 20 June, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region were called out 18 times to tackle fires of various types. Of these, six outbreaks occurred in natural ecosystems, affecting a total area of 0.215 hectares.
Rescuers urge citizens to protect their own lives, the lives of their loved ones and their homes from fire, and remind them that it is easier to prevent fires than to extinguish them.
The State Emergency Service also reminds the public that setting fire to dry grass is against the law and carries a fine: for individuals from 3,060 to 6,120 UAH, and for officials from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH.
