In Lviv region, 23 fires extinguished in 24 hours, 11 of them in ecosystems

In Lviv region, over the course of 24 hours firefighters extinguished 23 fires, including 11 outbreaks in natural ecosystems. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.

Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of State Emergency Service units, 8 buildings and 1 vehicle that were under threat from the flames were saved.

Rescuers stress that most fires in natural ecosystems are caused by human negligence: burning dry vegetation and rubbish, careless handling of fire or campfires that have not been fully extinguished.

The State Emergency Service is asking residents to exercise the utmost caution, not to burn dry grass, not to leave fires unattended and to strictly observe fire safety rules, as even a small spark can lead to a large-scale blaze.
