During the duty period from 30 June to 1 July in Lviv region, rescuers extinguished 26 fires, of which 19 outbreaks occurred in ecosystems. Firefighters managed to prevent two buildings from being destroyed by the flames, and there were no casualties.
Rescuers stress the importance of following fire safety rules, especially during dry and windy weather. In particular, it is prohibited to burn dry grass and rubbish, as this is one of the main causes of fires in ecosystems.
Emergency services also ask people not to throw cigarette ends onto grass or in forests and not to light campfires in hazardous weather conditions. If a fire is detected, you must immediately call 101.
