In Lviv region, over the past 24 hours, rescuers have extinguished 43 fires, including 25 blazes in ecosystems. While tackling the flames, firefighters prevented four buildings from being destroyed by fire. Two people were injured in the fires.
Rescuers stress that the majority of fires in ecosystems are caused by human carelessness, and urge people to follow safety rules.
In particular, you should not throw cigarette ends into grass or woodland, light campfires in dry and windy weather, or burn dry grass and rubbish, which is one of the main causes of fires in ecosystems.
Rescuers emphasise that every fire may be the result of someone's careless act, and therefore call on people not to put others and the environment at risk.
