In Lviv region, 9 fires extinguished in a day, including 4 in ecosystems

In Lviv region, over the past day, rescuers extinguished 9 fires, including 4 outbreaks in ecosystems. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.

Since the beginning of the year, the region’s fire and rescue units have extinguished 4,147 fires. During these call-outs, 120 people were rescued, including 11 children. At the same time, 42 people have died in fires, and a further 83 people have been injured, including 7 children.

Rescuers are urging residents to follow fire safety rules in their homes: do not leave open flames unattended, do not discard unextinguished cigarette ends, ensure electrical appliances are in good working order and do not leave young children without supervision.

Emergency workers also stress: it is forbidden to burn dry vegetation, as even a single careless act can lead to a large-scale fire.

In the event of a fire or other emergency, you must immediately call 101 or 112.
