Six fires extinguished in Lviv region in 24 hours

In Lviv region, over the past 24 hours, rescuers have extinguished six fires, acting swiftly and in a coordinated manner, preventing the spread of the flames and the destruction of one of the buildings. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.

The agency notes that behind each of these call-outs lies someone’s carelessness: a cigarette butt, a campfire left unattended, or fire safety rules ignored. Most of these blazes could have been avoided.

Rescuers are urging residents of the region to be vigilant at home and while spending time outdoors, not to burn dry grass and not to underestimate the danger posed by open fire.

In the event of an emergency, citizens are reminded of the need to call 101 immediately, but it is stressed that the best option is to avoid situations that could lead to fires in the first place.
