Three Accidents Involving Motorcyclists in Lviv Region Within a Day: Six Injured

Accident in the Village of Korchiv
On April 21, around 00:40, in the village of Korchiv, Sheptytskyi District, a Lifan LF200-10S motorcycle driven by an 18-year-old resident of the district’s rural area, failed to control his vehicle, crossed the roadway border, and crashed into a power pole. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver and his passenger, an 18-year-old local, sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
Accident Between the Villages of Sasiv and Koltiv
Another road accident occurred around 18:50 between the villages of Sasiv and Koltiv in Zolociv District. According to preliminary police findings, the Forte TC 250 motorcycle ridden by an 18-year-old local failed to control and veered off the road, causing the vehicle to overturn. The motorcycle driver and his passenger, a 17-year-old resident, incurred injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Collision on Mikołajów-Zhovkva Highway
Additionally, around 15:50 on the Mikołajów-Zhovkva highway near the village of Povітno in Lviv District, a collision occurred between a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 50-year-old resident of the town of Horodok, Lviv District, and a Tekken MN 250 GY motorcycle ridden by a 16-year-old local. The motorcycle driver and his passenger, a 16-year-old district rural resident, sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
Following these incidents, investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty according to this article is up to three years of restriction of freedom with revocation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
