Accidents in numbers: almost two thousand injured since the beginning of the year
From January to August 2024, 1503 accidents with victims occurred on the roads of Lviv region. In these accidents, 1976 people were injured and 150 people died as a result of their injuries.
The disappointing statistics were reported to the Holos Sokalyshchyny by the Lviv Oblast Police.
The most common causes of road accidents with victims are:
🔴 violation of manoeuvring rules;
🔴 exceeding safe speed;
🔴 violation of overtaking rules;
🔴 failure to maintain distance;
🔴 violation of intersection rules;
🔴 driving under the influence.
Unfortunately, rash decisions behind the wheel have consequences – hundreds of lives lost. Let’s be conscious!
