A 48-year-old driver of an Opel Zafira was killed in a road traffic collision in the Lviv region, law enforcement officers have reported.
The crash occurred on 30 June at around 16:10 on the Hаiok–Dobrotvir road in one of the villages of Lviv district. According to preliminary information, a local resident lost control of the vehicle, after which it left the carriageway and went into a roadside ditch.
As a result, the driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigators from Police Station No. 1 of Lviv District Police Department No. 1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety regulations. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the collision.
