A 30-year-old resident of the Volyn region organized illegal crossings of military-age men across the Ukrainian border to Poland.
The perpetrators were exposed by investigators from the Sheptytskyi district police department together with operatives from the Migration Police Department in the Lviv region and the Security Service of Ukraine. Military personnel from the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment also participated in the investigation.
The organizer carefully disguised his activities, communicating with clients only through messengers under fictitious names. He devised routes for illegal border crossings and provided instructions. The service cost $300, which was transferred to a cryptocurrency wallet.
There was also a $600 option where an accomplice would deliver the client to the border. During this operation, he was apprehended by law enforcement officers.
The pre-trial investigation is completed, and the indictment has been submitted for court review. The offenders face up to nine years of imprisonment.
