In a field in Drohobych district in Lviv region, a 79-year-old tractor driver died during fieldwork. The incident occurred on 31 July at around 20:10 near one of the villages in the district.
According to preliminary police information, during the work a YTO 244 tractor, driven by a local resident, overturned. The man sustained bodily injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of the Drohobych District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles.
Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation and establishing the circumstances of the tractor driver’s death.
