Near the village of Sosnivka in Lviv district, at 23:22 on 2 October, a road traffic collision occurred involving two Mercedes-Benz lorries. Witnesses reported the crash to the Rescue Service.
At the scene, rescuers established that as a result of the impact, the driver of one of the lorries was trapped in the cab. To rescue him, fire and rescue units used hydraulic equipment to free the man and then transfer him to an ambulance.
Four rescuers and one unit of specialist equipment were deployed to deal with the aftermath of the crash. The causes and circumstances of the accident are being established by law enforcement officers.
