In the Lviv region, the driver of an Audi A4 went through a junction on a red light when traffic on the road was light. The offence took place within sight of motorcycle patrol officers, who immediately gave chase.
The motorcycle patrol unit caught up with the car and held the driver to account for ignoring the traffic light signal.
According to the patrol police, since the start of the year officers have issued more than 3,300 fines for offences related to failing to comply with traffic light signals.
