In Lviv region over the past 24 hours, rescuers have extinguished 10 fires, one of which broke out in a natural ecosystem. While tackling the blaze, firefighters managed to save 2 buildings from destruction.
In each of these incidents, units of the State Emergency Service were deployed; rescuers risk their own health every day to stop the spread of fire and protect people and property.
Rescuers stress that many fires can be prevented. Citizens are urged not to burn dry grass, leaves or rubbish and to strictly follow fire safety rules, as a single careless act can lead to a fire that rescue services will then have to extinguish.
