In Lviv region over the past day, rescuers extinguished 43 fires, of which 34 outbreaks occurred in ecosystems. Firefighters prevented the destruction by fire of 8 buildings and one car.
According to available information, the most common cause of fires remains human carelessness. Rescuers are urging residents not to burn dry grass and to strictly observe fire safety rules.
The rescue service emphasises that they work around the clock, but safety largely depends on the responsible behaviour of citizens.
