In Lviv region, 30 people injured and five killed in road accidents over two days

In Lviv region, 20 road traffic accidents involving casualties were recorded over a two-day period. As a result of these crashes, 30 people were injured and a further 5 people were killed.

Law enforcement officers are calling on all road users to be as attentive and responsible as possible, as road safety depends on everyone.

Drivers are advised to keep to a safe speed, not to drive when tired or under the influence of alcohol, not to use a phone while driving and to pay close attention to pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists.

Motorcyclists are advised not to exceed the speed limit, to wear a helmet and protective gear, to avoid sudden manoeuvres and to remember that they may not be immediately visible to others on the road.

Users of e-scooters are urged to travel with care, reduce speed near pedestrians, avoid suddenly entering the carriageway, not to use a phone while riding and to make sure they are visible in the hours of darkness.

Pedestrians are reminded to cross the road only at designated places, to make sure that drivers can see them, not to step suddenly into the carriageway and to use reflective elements in the dark.
