
In the village of Khytreyky in Lviv district, a fire broke out in a residential house, during which firefighters managed to save two buildings from the flames.
The Rescue Service “101” received the call on 14 July at 17:34. According to residents, the television caught fire first. The homeowners tried to extinguish the flames themselves, but the fire spread rapidly, after which they called the firefighters.
When the fire and rescue units arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed the roof of the residential house over an area of 48 sq. m, as well as 3 tonnes of hay. The emergency crews prevented the fire from destroying two buildings.
The fire was contained at 18:57 and fully extinguished at 19:19. Firefighters from the 17th State Fire and Rescue Unit in Zhovkva and local fire brigades from the villages of Dobrosyn and Maheriv were involved in tackling the blaze.
As a result of the fire, no one was injured.
