Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the chief inspector of one of the departments of the State Police Department in the Lviv Region was exposed and informed of the suspicion of soliciting and receiving an unlawful benefit (part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect demanded and received USD 900 in illegal benefits from the representative of the business entity.
Earlier, in December 2022, the tax invoices of this enterprise were blocked in connection with the violation of the latest legislation.
For a bribe, the employee promised that she would help solve the issue of unlocking them in the Unified Register of Tax Invoices.
The woman was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, immediately after receiving an unlawful benefit.
Investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the detainee and removing her from her position is being resolved.
Other persons involved are being identified.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the territorial department of the SBU in the city of Lviv, operational support is carried out by the SBU Department in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
