Prosecutors from the Ivano-Frankivsk special prosecution service have notified a deputy head of the territorial recruitment center (TRC) of suspicion for brutally assaulting a conscription-eligible individual during a medical examination.
According to the investigation, the man, along with other citizens, was sent to the hospital for a military medical commission (MMC) check-up. When he refused a fluorography, the lieutenant colonel intentionally delivered at least five blows to his groin area.
As a result, the victim sustained serious bodily injuries that required surgical removal of one of his organs. The official has been notified of suspicion for abusing power under martial law conditions, which led to severe consequences. At the prosecutors’ petition, the court has detained him without bail.
