At the Shehyni–Medyka border crossing point, customs officers together with border guards stopped a VOLKSWAGEN CRAFTER minibus in which they discovered a large consignment of undeclared goods exceeding the duty-free allowance.
During the inspection of the vehicle, customs officers recorded more than 328 units of perfume and cosmetic products from well-known brands CHANEL, Yves Saint Laurent, DIOR, VALENTINO, EMPORIO ARMANI, Chloe.
In connection with this incident, a report on a customs rules violation was drawn up against the driver under Part 2 of Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. According to a preliminary assessment by customs officers, the market value of the undeclared goods is around UAH 1 million.
