Water levels on rivers in Lviv region expected to rise on 9 July

On 9 July, on the rivers of the Dniester basin within Lviv region, a rise in water levels of 0.2–0.7 m above current marks is expected. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.

According to meteorologists, due to the expected precipitation, in some places significant local and slope runoff may form, which could lead to local flooding.

Rescuers urge residents of the region to be vigilant and cautious, to follow updates on changing weather conditions and to avoid being near fast-flowing watercourses.

In the event of an emergency, they recommend calling 101 or 112.
