The police are establishing the identity of the dead female pedestrian in the Lviv region

The traffic accident occurred on March 21, at around 9:45 p.m., on the Lviv-Sambir-Uzhhorod highway near the village of Torchynovychy, Sambir district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes Sprinter car, a 19-year-old resident of the Sambir district, hit a woman aged about 50-60. After that, the minibus drove into a ditch and overturned.
The woman died at the scene of the injuries she received as a result of the accident, her identity is being established. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
