A minor motorcyclist was injured in the Lviv region as a result of a collision with a car. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The road accident happened on August 26, around 2:50 PM, on Chornovol Street in the town of Rudky, Sambir district. Preliminary investigations by law enforcement officers determined that a collision occurred between a Kovi motorcycle, operated by a 15-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages, and a Skoda Fabia car driven by a 56-year-old resident of Novyi Rozdil.
As a result of the accident, the minor motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. Investigators from the Sambir district police department have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 ‘Violation of Traffic Safety Rules’ of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under the article’s sanction is up to three years of restraint of liberty, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
