The traffic accident happened on October 31, around 6:00 p.m., in a forest area near the village of Sosnivka, Sambir district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Dongfeng 240 tractor, a 55-year-old local resident, lost control and the vehicle overturned.
The tractor driver died at the scene from injuries received as a result of the accident. The passenger of the tractor, a 38-year-old local resident, was injured and hospitalized. However, despite the efforts of doctors, he died in the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Sambir district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
