The road accident occurred on 13 October, at around 01.30, in the village of Vykoti, Sambir district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a Skoda Kodiag driven by a 17-year-old resident of the district collided with a Spark motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old resident of Sambir.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Sambir District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
