Injury in Lviv Region: Boy Injured in Tubing Accident

An incident occurred in the Lviv region, resulting in the injury of a boy who was tubing, attached to a horse-drawn cart.

The event took place on January 2 around 10:00 PM in one of the villages of the Sheptytsky district. A **22-year-old local resident** was pulling a 17-year-old fellow villager on a rubber tube attached to a cart drawn by two horses. At a certain point, the driver lost control of the horses, and the tube went off the road into a ditch. The passenger fell out and struck a concrete bridge support.

With bodily injuries, including head trauma, the boy was taken to the hospital. Following the incident, investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Sheptytsky District Police Department opened a criminal proceeding under Article 291 “Violation of Transport Regulations” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment stipulated by the article is imprisonment for up to five years. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
